Southwest Veterinary Hospital is looking for Veterinarians interested in a new and growing urgent care practice for partnered clinics. You will be working hand in hand with the shareholders, a group of local DVMs passionate about offering additional after hours care for their clients and patients in SW Ontario

This is an exciting opportunity to help grow the vision of Southwest Veterinary Hospital and put your mark on it Operating out of our host clinic, hours of operation will be Friday 6pm open 24 hours until Monday at 8am with the goal to expand to 24/7 and a new facility with the help of your exceptional patient care and growth mindset

**Job Description: DVM**

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide urgent medical care to animals
- Diagnosis and treatment
- Perform surgery and procedures from GDVs, FBs, c-sections to laceration repairs
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information
- Provide care to patients transferred from partnered clinics
- Maintain positive relationships with shareholders and their clients/patients

**Requirements**:

- Valid DVM license with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Proficient in using veterinary software and computer systems
- Physical stamina to lift and restrain animals of various sizes
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Previous emergency experience an asset

**Qualifications**
- Previous Emergency Experience considered an Asset but not required
- Unrestricted License
