Part-Time Weekend Scheduler, base schedule of every other weekend, twelve hour shifts from 6am - 6pm.

The Scheduler is responsible for ensuring that the daily staffing needs of St. Joseph’s at Fleming are being met, by working with Scheduling Staff, Charge Nurses, and Nursing Management and ensuring adherence to St. Joseph’s at Flemings relevant policies, procedures, and Collective Agreements, under the direction of the Supervisor of Scheduling and Manager of Human Resources.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for completing the call-in processes to replace shift vacancies, in accordance with the relevant local Collective Agreement and/or policies and procedures
- Responsible for maintaining Scheduling documentation, including the Scheduling System, Tracking Databases, Excel Spreadsheets, and other forms as required
- Creating PSW, RN, RPN, and CSA schedule's per the relevant Collective Agreement requirements
- Reviewing the Time and Attendance system, reviewing and updating CUPE and ONA employee payroll
- Effectively communicate pertinent information with all necessary parties, including Home Area Managers, Charge Nurses, RPN’s and PSW’s, ensuring an appropriate and effective flow of communication/information between staff on all shifts
- Provides appropriate and timely reports to Nursing Leadership as assigned
- Completes audits and other documentation reviews as assigned
- Functions within the confines of relevant legislation, codes, acts, policies, procedures and standards and collective agreements
- Participate in annual education, required in-services, committees and adheres to St. Joseph’s at Flemings policies and procedures

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience working in a high-energy, technical, demanding, and multi-tasking environment
- Post secondary preparation (certificate or higher) in business, nursing, or health related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Long Term Care or unionized environment preferred
- Must have proficient computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Scheduling Systems, experience with Quadrant an asset
- Must be able to work weekends, statutory holidays, and varied shifts (6am - 7pm)
- Must have excellent written, verbal, and nonverbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess strong conflict resolution skills and critical thinking skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
