**About the Role**

As a Maintenance Technician I, you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment (MHE) and pneumatic systems throughout the building.

**What You’ll Do**
- Solve electrical and mechanical issues related to all MHE, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
- Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
- Complete and properly document preventative maintenance routines.
- Track and store department inventory.
- Use appropriate tooling to troubleshoot simple AC/DC circuits, basic troubleshooting of MHE and repairs to miscellaneous operational equipment as needed
- Cultivate positive working relationships with RME business partners and Operations team members.
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.

**What you’ll need**
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience and/or training in a related field
- Basic skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
- Physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Occasional travel to United States

**Preferred Qualifications**
- 1+ years of experience with material handling and conveyance systems
- 1+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
