We treat our customers as friends and love to find out about their day. Behind the scenes we work hard as a team to ensure the highest quality pies are being made. As the Cook/Kitchen Hand you will be ordering our famous pies from our production kitchen and baking them throughout the day. You will be cooking the mashed potatoes, peas and gravy. Most importantly, you will be hand baking all of our yummy Australian sweets and desserts. You must be able to work autonomously and have a good eye for detail and cleanliness. You will need to be organized, keep a clean work station and have excellent time management skills. **Requirements**: - Cooking, kitchen or café experience preferred but willing to train the right person should you be detail oriented and are a good home baker ~ - Thrive in a fast paced environment > > > - Takes care and pride in yourself and your work (xox) - Abides by and understands BC Food Safe standards and practices, holds their Food Safe Level 1 certification - Must be able to lift bags of flour ^^ - Love eating pies :0 **Main Duties**: - Ensures we have adequate supply of all pies and desserts when opening the store - Follows recipes and produces high quality food for our customers - Prepare sweets and desserts that are consistently delicious and visually appealing. - Place all food orders on time, maintaining consistent and minimum stock levels in accordance to the season or events. - Keeps the kitchen, fridges, freezers and equipment clean and organized throughout the day **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $18.45 per hour Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week **Benefits**: - Discounted or free food - Flexible schedule - Store discount Work Location: In person
