Consider joining us today_ We're looking for a new environmental technician, (you will complete mould removal, asbestos abatement, odour control, etc.), with proven track record of working hard and a willingness to learn new skills. Duties include - Working in confined spaces like crawl spaces/attics. - Level 1, 2 and 3 mould abatement. - Level 1, 2 and 3 asbestos abatement. - Trauma/Biohazard abatement. - Attend emergency jobs including water and sewer losses, fire damaged properties and other emergencies from time-to-time as scheduled - Assist with tear out and demolition of all damaged finishes. - Assist with documenting and cleaning contents - Other duties as assigned. You will need to demonstrate: - A proven track record of reliability, honesty and hard work - Basic technical /computer skills - Previous experience in the restoration or abatement field will be preferred - Previous experience in the restoration field including water extraction and water damage, residential or commercial emergency cleaning and general restoration experience will be beneficial - Proven ability to work on your own OR to lead a crew - Ability to work a limited rotation of after hours and "on call" shifts - A clean driving record and valid driver's license - Physically capable to handle the job as outlined - Be capable of lifting heavy objects daily - More than 50lb. - A positive, 'can-do" attitude - IICRC Certification will be preferred and eventually required Compensation - 18$-24$ depending on experience Medical Benefits (after 90 days) Vacation - 2 weeks Join a growing company with room for growth and advancement **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: From $18.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - RRSP match - Vision care Schedule: - 8 hour shift **Experience**: - Construction or Restoration: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: - and clean driver's License (required) - or any IICRC training (preferred) Work Location: In person
