The Corporate Safety Data Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the Safety Data Dashboards and the uplift of Data from the Safety system software into the dashboard/analytics tool (Power BI) within the Corporate Safety and Investigations Department.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides investigative support to the Sr. Corporate Safety Manager Investigations regarding safety risks, hazards and trending data as requested.
- Ensures appropriate protocols and practices are followed to create, validate, and produce Analytics/dashboards for the various CSSQ and Branch Safety boards.
- Ensure any safety reports are processed as close to the day of receipt as possible and ensure that all safety reports are finalized in accordance with the Safety Management
- Manual - ideally within 30 days of receipt where possible.
- Conducts activities to identify, analyze and investigate operational safety hazards and latent risks.
- Assist in developing reports, data trends and research reports to meet departmental reporting requirements. Support requests for safety data from a range of clients including Branch Managers, Business Intelligence and Executive Management.
- Provide de-identified reports to internal departments and external agencies, in accordance with corporate safety data release policies.
- Comply with Corporation policies, objectives and programs including performance management.
- Support and offer any assistance with respect to special project work.
- Manage SIMS Safety Reports, Category Notifications or Ground Safety Notifications, Occurrences or Assessments as directed.
- Provide regular reports External Teams, as requested, regarding Flight/Ground Operations safety issues, trends and risks.
- Provide support to the CSSQ Safety Managers including data analytics for presentation of safety statistics, hazards, trends and top concerns.
- Deliver data to external agencies to support regulatory bodies, Safety boards, Industry standards (IOSA) or legal/insurance requirements.
- Provide presentations, safety reports and research to clients as requested.
- Assist with the management and maintenance of the CSIRPM, documents, or bulletins as requested.
- Monitors safety activities within industry on behalf of the Director, Corporate Safety and Investigations.
- Assist the Sr. Corporate Safety Manager Investigations with aircraft-specific operational information including provision of Safety - Flight database information.
Assist with the creation of well-written and researched professional contributions addressing safety issues/concerns to the Sr. Corporate Safety Manager Investigations for professional journals such as Flightline.
- Provide materials and updates for CSSQ staff, as required to support safety promotional activities, bulletins and shareable media (print/electronic).
- Provide detailed reports that compare/contrast Air Canada Safety reports with those of Industry (Benchmarking). Identify trends (positive/negative) through comprehensive dashboards or targeted data visuals which can identify best demonstrated practices where able.
- Maintain the CADORS registry and frequently monitor the TCCA database for filed events to ensure the CSSQ database and registry are current and accurate.
- Ensure all the CADORS reports have been entered (registered into SIMS) and logged into the CADORS SharePoint register.
- Create the Safetyline TSB Accident Incident Document for every Reportable event on a weekly basis as directed by the Director, Safety Programs and invitations or the Sr.
- Manager Corporate Safety Investigations.
- Provide Safety Investigation administrative support.
- Support the Director, Safety Programs Investigations with SER data collection and delivery and well as the production of SER documents to support the meeting along with official record keeping (Final, attendance, NDA’s) captured on the SharePoint site
- Assist the CSSQ Team with CSIRPM edits and revisions on an annual basis or if sooner, as directed by the Director, Safety Programs and Investigations.
- Remain current with industry trends and hazards which may stimulate data collection/reviews and impact Safety Data Dashboard building or modifications.

**Qualifications**
- High School Leaving Certificate, College or University degree is preferred. Formal approved Accident Investigation Training Course, Human Factors Training and training in Quality Management, including ISOA Auditor training, are required elements. Formal Management Training is an asset.
- Accreditation in Quality Auditing and Quality Management (ASQ, CQMgr, CQA, CQE, CQT) or equivalent (e.g., TC auditor, Air Canada Auditor, IOSA Auditor or Evaluator) is desired.
- Accreditation as an accident investigator is desired. T
