JOB SCOPE

The DHC 8 First Officer is responsible for assisting the Captain in the safe operation of the aircraft while providing customer service and giving on-time performance due consideration. The First Officer is second-in-command during the flight and will assume control when directed by the captain. The DHC 8 First Officer is responsible to the System Chief Pilot.
- Responsible for assisting the Captain with the safe and efficient operation of Company aircraft;
- Assist the Captain to ensure all pre-flight, inflight and post-flight duties are completed safely consistent with published Transport Canada regulations and standards as well as Company policies and procedures;
- Assist the Captain to ensure that all crew members perform their flight duties consistent with published Transport Canada regulations and standards as well as Company policies and procedures;
- Any other responsibilities and duties assigned by the Captain during flight;
- Any other responsibilities and duties assigned by the Systems Chief Pilot.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 1000 Hours Total Time;
- Must hold Transport Canada Commercial Pilot License (CPL);
- Must hold Transport Canada Category I Medical Certificate;
- Able to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance;
- Legally entitled to work in Canada;
- Able to operate Company aircraft domestically, trans-border and internationally without restriction;
- Aviation diploma/degree an asset;
- Must be fluent in English language;
- Effective communication and problem solving skills;
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Flexible and willing to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends;
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
