The Director of Data Analytics and Next Gen Delivery will be at the helm of driving innovation and growth within our organization. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Altagas’ cutting-edge data analytics, intelligent automation, and artificial intelligence (AI) strategies and solutions and managing technology to shape the future of our company. Your leadership will ensure that these next-gen capabilities are not only matured but also effectively harnessed to transform business processes and deliver unparalleled value. The Director will play a critical role in delivering solutions using a hub-and-spoke model, pioneering new ways to optimize our operations. Additionally, this position will influence the entire corporation to adopt innovative practices and embrace doing business differently, positioning us at the forefront of industry transformation.

You will:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics, intelligent automation and AI strategy that is aligned with business goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, analysts, developers and automation specialists.
- Foster a culture of innovation, driving the adoption and integration of AI technologies to solve complex business problems.
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and automation.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact and benefit of data analytics, automation initiatives, and artificial intelligence.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in AI and automation, evaluating their potential impact on the organization.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of data analytics and automation projects.
- Manage the department’s expense and capital budgets.

You have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data analytics, AI, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Azure Fabric, Python, R, SQL), machine learning frameworks, and automation platforms (e.g., UiPath, PowerAutomate).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of driving innovation and change.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a deep understanding of data modeling, statistical analysis, and AI techniques.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects, with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget.
- Experience working with and leading agile delivery methodologies.
- Ability to envision and articulate the future state of data analytics and AI and its impact on the organization.
- Relentless passion for working as a team and fostering a “Team First” mentality
- Expertise in fostering a culture of innovation, encouraging experimentation, and managing innovation pipelines.
- Commitment to staying current with the latest advancements in AI and automation technologies.
