The Mount Stephen is a Montreal boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown, in the Golden Square Mile district. This luxurious hotel accommodates up to 400 people; in 84 rooms and/or 6 prestigious suites. Whether you join the team to work for room service, concierge service, or others, the Mount Stephen hotel team will be happy to welcome you.

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor manages the daily operations of the department (arrival/departure/group/VIP) as well as ensuring company standards are met. This person will work in close collaboration with reception and technical services. As the industry is changing, the responsibilities of this position will change and evolve accordingly.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise a work team
- Plan and assign tasks to employees
- Adjust schedules according to occupancy
- Manage inventories of cleaning and hospitality products
- Ensure compliance with rules and procedures
- Participate in employee performance management
- Ensure staff health and safety
- Coordinate the services of external companies/suppliers.
- Supervise/coach employees
- Inspect rooms
- Participate in the disciplinary process
- Ensure quality customer service and manage customer complaints
- All other related tasks to ensure the department's quality of service.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in housekeeping for a high-end hotel.
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures.
- Familiarity with hotel management software.
- Diploma or degree in hotel management or related field preferred.
- Customer service training or certification would be an asset.

**Languages**:Bilingualism** **(French and English), both orally and in writing, is required for this position, as we serve an international clientele.
