Newmarket, Canada Kidz Can Play Full time

Kidz Can Play Inc. operates sports programs and camps for ages 4-13. We are looking for volunteers for our 2024 Fall Basketball/Soccer programs.

Program runs every Wednesday from 6-8pm at Meadowbrook P.S. in Newmarket from October 2nd until December 4th.

Kidz Can Play Inc. is a physical and health education program designed for children between the ages of 4-13 years old. Our goal is to instil a life-long passion for physical activity and sport in a safe, inclusive, and fun learning environment. Through our various Sport Programs and Camps we are determined to teach kids important character values that will set them on the path to becoming innovative leaders of tomorrow.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Police Vulnerable Sector Screening (if 18 years old or over)
- Previous experience working with children and adults in an instructional setting (Camp, school, faith-based institutions, tutoring, sports, arts and leisure etc.)
- Standard First Aid with CPR ‘C’ (encouraged, but not required)
- High Five Certificate and adherence to the principles of Healthy Child Development. (Children ages 6 to 12 years) (encouraged, but not required)
- Previous experience teaching/playing basketball/soccer

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Fostering a positive and fun learning environment
- Planning, participating and supporting activities for children ages 4-13
- Assisting with setting-up and cleaning-up equipment
- Assisting in keeping camp program areas clean, safe, and organized
- Please note this is a volunteer position even though job posting states $0.01/hour

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: From $0.01 per hour
