**Position Summary**
- Liaison between Contractor and Engineer to resolve any engineering clash issues.
- Inspect and ensure proper standards are being met at the pipe fabrication facility and on-site.
- Inspect and ensure proper standards are being met for equipment installation.
- Review/approve/sign off OSD - Overages, Shortages, Damage Reports.
- Ensure the material arriving is what was ordered and has no damage; if not up to standard, expedite a suitable solution.
- Expedite equipment information for the contractor on preservation requirements, drawings, tagging, and hydrotest pressures.
- Review the scope of work and comment on or edit change orders as needed.
- Review and comment on bid packages.
- Audit contractor equipment preservation to meet the owner’s standard.
- Provide input into the schedule as needed.
- Expedite material that may be missed by engineering, on hold, delayed at other yards, or that needs general information to get it to the site.
- Attend drawing reviews and add comments or suggestions that would improve cost and schedule from a construction standpoint.
- Participate in model reviews and add input on constructability or modify the design as needed to best suit the owner’s needs.
- Observe and implement cost savings to the owner where feasible.
- Review and modify contractor FIWP - Field Installation Work Packages to improve. constructability, cost, and schedule savings.
- Answer RFI - Request for Information within their realm of expertise and/or expedite answer from engineering.
- Participate in the company’s safety culture by submitting two behavioral-based observations a month.
- Monitor contractors’ performance and activities and submit a daily report.
- Monitor progress and quality in the field as well as verify crew counts and tracking progress.
- Participate in Weekly CMT safety walks and provide safety leadership in the field.
- Participate in Monthly DEI meetings.
- Collaborate with the QA team to assure installation meets standards.
- Witness excavation release as required.
- Witness and sign off on hydro test, ensuring accuracy and quality of the test.
- Provide mechanically complete systems to commission and assist in a startup as required.

**Position Qualifications**:

- Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in operations with challenging environmental health and safety aspects preferred.
- Experience managing third-party resources to deliver business results preferred.
- Knowledge of the company's environmental health and safety standards and international standards and codes related to building projects and construction safety preferred.

**Additional Requirements**

Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.

Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
