Controls Construction Manager

**What you will do**
Responsible for on-site project management of assigned projects. Manages schedule milestones and monitors workforce levels to ensure conformance with the construction plan. Ensures schedules are created, adapted, and maintained along the lifetime of the projects. Manages and controls scope change/creep, ensuring that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented and that change orders are approved prior to the execution of work. Implements the site safety and security procedures project work rules while playing an active role in the development of the safety program. Develops and maintains Customer and Subcontractor relationships. Works under the general supervision of Regional Resource Team management and in conjunction with other Construction Managers and local team members.
**How you will do it**
- Responsible for on-site project oversight. Acts as the primary on-site leader for execution teams on assigned projects. Performs on-site management, supervision, and coordination of all self-performed and subcontracted work.
- Plans, develops project schedules, controls project activities, and executes according to plan for assigned projects.
- Oversees project construction for compliance with specifications, local codes and construction techniques.
- Reviews design scope and approach with regard to constructability, and submits recommendations for change. Actively pursues additional work through change orders.
- Reviews and interprets contract Terms and Conditions. Escalates issues and concerns to Construction Manager and/or Resource Team manager.
- Monitors productivity and cost and recommends changes in order to mitigate problems and maintain maximum labor, productivity and cost effectiveness. Reports project status to ensure profitability goals and management of cash/cost/billing.
- Responsible for daily customer interface, relates and anticipates customer needs. Provides clear communications to customer and team. Attends job progress meetings as required. Ensures subcontractors understand expectations of the project.
- Oversees site safety and security. Safe execution of field construction activities in conformance with the engineering package and project budget & schedule.
- Ensures project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and JCI standards.
- Assists in the evaluation of contractual scope of work and the impact of client issued bulletins, field directives and/or scheduling changes. Performs associated cost estimates and prepares proposals as directed.
- Coordinates customer-training requirements.
- Assists Market Team Project Delivery Manager and/or Development Manager in development efforts. Assists to develop cost estimates and construction schedules as requried.
- Able to travel based on assigned projects, as projects may exist outside of assigned geography.
**What we look for**

- 5+ yrs of construction management experience.
- Technical Background in Building Automation
- Experience in all aspects of BAS control systems
- Experience in BAS documentation including interpretation of Engineered drawings, designing and implementation of BAS control submittals.
- Understands project scope and customer expectations.
- Understands resource and revenue planning/forecasting.
- High level project management process competencies
**Preferred**
- Bachelor of Applied Science or Technologist Diploma
- PMP, Design Build Institute of America (DBIA), LEED certification.
- Experience in project size above $5M.
- Experience working on large government contracts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
