Champlain College Saint-Lambert is seeking the services of a SOCIAL WORKER to work on a regular full-time basis (35 hours per week) in the Student Services department.

FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Director, Student Services, and working in collaboration with the Student Services team, the incumbent will perform work in prevention, screening and intervention with Campus students with special emphasis on psychological, emotional, physical and relational development in order to assist with their academic success and college experience. They will also be a key player in supporting the college in the deployment of an institutional policy and procedures to prevent and counter sexual violence.

1. Provide students with intervention, prevention and referral services both inside and outside the college, in response to specific mental health and counselling issues.

2. Participate in the development and animation of workshops and activities to assist students with social integration, perseverance and retention strategies.

3. Meet, interview and prioritize students as they enter the Counselling Service at the Campus.

4. Work with students in collaboration with the Counselling team and members of Adapted Services to provide strategies and techniques to implement intervention plans.

5. Participate in the creation and promotion of positive mental health and healthy lifestyle habits to the college community.

6. Animate the student health & wellness team at the Campus.

7. Work with Student Services on other initiatives related to mental health and transition programs.

10. Makes recommendations and assist with coordinating accommodations or interim measures on a case-by-case basis in sexual violence situations.

11. Develop relationships with community partners as well as organize consultations with the CISSS, the police department and the community organizations that will promote coherence during interventions.

12. Work to provide the college with the information to ensure it meets the government demands and complies with legislation including, but not limited to, reporting statistics, records and data in relation to sexual assault and harassment.

13. Work with the Director, Student Services, to ensure the development and implementation of the College's Plan d'action sur la santé mentale étudiante en enseignement supérieur (PASME).

**Requirements**:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work
Membership in the Ordre professionnel des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec.

**Requirements**:
Must have excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
Fluent in French.
Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office suite.

Discrete, confidential and professional.
Strong organizational skills.
Team player and student centered.

**Work Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (35 hours per week)

**Salary Scale**: $55,282 - $97,963

**Anticipated Start Date**: 2025-08-11
