**Job Overview**: A Retail Store Associate helps maintain the store's overall operation by assisting customers, organizing merchandise, and ensuring that the store runs smoothly. They work under the supervision of the store manager and contribute to creating a positive shopping experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Service**:

- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist with their needs.
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
- Answer customer questions regarding products, prices, and promotions.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, or concerns in a professional manner.
- **Sales**:

- Drive sales by upselling and cross-selling products.
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.
- Process transactions accurately through the cash register.
- **Product Management**:

- Stock shelves and maintain organized displays.
- Monitor product levels and assist in inventory management.
- Ensure products are accurately tagged and priced.
- **Store Maintenance**:

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
- Assist in setting up visual displays and promotional materials.
- Ensure all merchandise is properly displayed and restocked.
- **Teamwork**:

- Collaborate with other team members to maintain store operations and a positive work environment.
- Assist with opening and closing the store, ensuring all procedures are followed.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous retail or customer service experience (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise (usually up to 25-50 pounds).

**Skills**:

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic computer skills (POS systems, inventory software).
