We are seeking a responsible Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team. The pharmacy assistant is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and referring physicians. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate patient medication orders, maintaining inventory, and operating the pharmacy computer system.

**Essential Functions**:
**Assisting the pharmacist in completing patient medication orders**
- Maintaining inventory of all medications in the pharmacy
- Processing medication refills
- Communicating with patients and referring physicians to provide excellent customer service
- Providing patient education regarding prescription refills and managing patient prescription drug accounts
- Maintaining an organized pharmacy inventory and ensuring that inventory is maintained at all times in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Completing other tasks as assigned by the pharmacist or leadership team

**Required Skills**:
**Strong communication skills with a positive attitude.**
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as a team player.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately perform basic math functions.
- Experience working in a pharmacy setting preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 16 per week
