**Overview**
Situated in the historic Molson Brewery, Nero is an exciting new concept by the folks responsible for the very popular Rosso Pizzeria and Bianco Restaurant. We are an upscale Italian restaurant and cocktail lounge aiming to redefine the dining and beverage experience in the city.

Our mission is to compete among the best establishments locally and achieve national recognition for excellence. With a focus on exceptional cocktails, curated wines, and unparalleled hospitality, we’re seeking passionate bartenders to join our opening team and contribute to building a beverage program that sets new standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in an upscale or high-volume environment.
- Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding hospitality and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Barista training is an asset.
- Valid ProServe

**Responsibilities**
- Cocktail Craftsmanship_
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of classic and signature cocktails with precision and creativity.
- Maintain an understanding of modern and traditional cocktail techniques and trends.
- Assist in the development of seasonal cocktail menus in collaboration with the bar management team.
- Product Knowledge_
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Italian wines, spirits, amari, and other specialty ingredients.
- Educate guests on beverage pairings and recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
- Participate in training sessions to continually expand knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wines.
- Coffee Preparation_
- Prepare high-quality coffee beverages, including espressos, cappuccinos, and lattes, using a professional espresso machine.
- Maintain consistency in coffee preparation and presentation.
- Ensure the espresso machine and related tools are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
- Attention to Detail_
- Execute drink preparation and presentation to the highest standards.
- Ensure all bar tools, glassware, and workstations are impeccably maintained.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking and ordering as needed.
- Hospitality & Guest Engagement_
- Provide an exceptional guest experience, tailoring interactions to individual preferences.
- Exhibit a warm and professional demeanor, creating a welcoming environment for all guests.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and graciously, ensuring satisfaction.
- Collaboration & Teamwork_
- Work cohesively with bar, lounge, and restaurant staff to ensure seamless service.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, and inclusive team culture.
- Assist in training new team members, sharing expertise and best practices.
- Commitment to Growth_
- Stay current with industry trends and innovations through workshops, research, and professional development opportunities.
- Provide feedback to bar management to continuously improve operations and offerings.
