**Job Title**: Event Security Guard (On-Call)

**Job Overview**:
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Patrol event premises regularly to maintain order and establish a visible security presence
- Monitor and authorize the entrance of vehicles or individuals to ensure proper access control
- Investigate alarms, disturbances, or unusual activities in a timely manner
- Act lawfully in the defense of life and property, when required
- Apprehend and evict violators in accordance with legal protocols
- Prepare detailed reports of daily activities, any incidents, and irregularities such as property damage, theft, or the presence of unauthorized persons
- Collaborate with event organizers and local law enforcement when necessary
- Ensure event guidelines are followed, including no smoking/vaping rules and timely guest departure
- Provide exceptional customer service, handling inquiries, and assisting event attendees
- Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the event

**Qualifications and Certifications**:

- **Alberta Basic Security Training (ABST) License** (required)
- **First Aid Level C and CPR Certification** (required)
- **ProServe Certification** (required)
- **Cannabis Certification** (Plus)
- **Customer Service and De-escalation Training** (Plus)

**Skills and Experience**:

- Strong knowledge of security and law enforcement procedures
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques
- Understanding of loss prevention methods and practices
- Experience in writing detailed incident and daily activity reports
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and act professionally under pressure
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests

**Additional Information**:

- This is an **on-call event-based position**, with hours and shifts varying based on event schedules.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 16 per week

Additional pay:
