**Overview**:
We are seeking a skilled Forest Technician to join our team and help today's woodlot owners grow tomorrow's forests.

**Duties**:

- Conduct forest inventories to assess tree health and growth
- Collect field data for forest management plans
- Supervise timber harvests and reforestation efforts
- Utilize GIS technology for mapping and analysis
- Help landowners meet their goals by providing professional forestry advice

**Skills**:

- Proficient in data collection tools (prism, angle gauge, d-tape, increment borer, etc).
- General understanding of high production, ecological forestry & conservation efforts
- Able to navigate forest safety, locate plots and identify forest stands
- Familiar with preparing forest management plans with recommended treatments
- Understanding of volumetric cruising and able to develop proficient cruising skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
