North York, Canada GRANITE CLUB Full time

The Granite Club is looking for part-time Tutors who will provide personalized lesson plans and academic tutoring sessions to the Member’s children, while continuously supporting their growth and development. We are looking for Tutors in English (reading/Writing) or who have experience in Elementary Grade Subjects.

Primary Responsibilities
- Creating, researching and obtaining curriculum and tutorial tools that suit the needs of the students.
- Maintaining records on each student who is being tutored.
- Writing and submitting evaluations and other reports as requested.
- Helping students develop self-confidence in performing academic work.
- Tutors will be able to tutor Reading, Writing, Math, English, and Learning Skills (including computer skills), etc., as required.
- Provide excellent care of children, ensuring that a safe area is maintained.
- Set-up room with appropriate equipment for the program.
- Attend monthly program meetings and give session feedback to Supervisor.
- Ensure a clean, neat and sanitary environment.
- Complete attendance record and inform the Child Activities Supervisor of any non-registered participants that need to be registered.
- Handle general inquiries and program registration.
- Confirmation and reminder phone calls prior to the start of each session.
- Provide daily updates to the Child Activities Supervisor.
- Advertise/create excitement for Tutoring program and KidZone programs as this is a direct relationship to the success of the program.
- Complete all marketing and build awareness for all Tutoring and KidZone programs.
- Establish positive relationships with parents.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum grade 12
- Experience working with children and youth is essential.
- First Aid and C.P.R. certification required.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
