**Position Description**:
The incumbent will perform technical support duties with regards to operations of roads and related infrastructure. Related tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Assist in infrastructure mapping and database projects
- Assist with Infrastructure condition inspections
- Assist in the collection of infrastructure data (signs, culverts, catch basins, etc.)
- Manage sidewalk inspection program. Including but not limited to inventory, marking, repair and documentation
- Assist with paid parking program. Specifically, with supervision of sign installations, machine maintenance and line painting
- Assist with implementation of new technologies and efficiencies

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- University or college student enrolled in a civil engineering or construction management course (or related field)
- Valid Class G2 Driver’s License
- Computer expertise with preference given to students with advanced knowledge in engineering specific programs such as CAD, GIS, Field Maps; and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Must be able to operate: a pickup truck, survey equipment (transit, level, etc.), small equipment and hand tools, and data collection equipment
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Experience in general operation of office equipment, i.e. scanner, photocopier, etc.

**Note**:
Employment is conditional upon: attendance at all training sessions, submission of required documentation/certification, adherence to the minimum age requirements and ability to meet the employment term.

Applicants must submit a criminal record check (dated within the last 3 months) from their local police service for approval prior to commencing employment.

The duration of this contract will be approximately 4 months. Applicants are expected to fulfill the entire contract period commencing April 30, 2025 until August 29, 2025.
