Cemetery Labourer

We are searching for a new team member to join us out of our Port Alberni Cemetery. The role will combine outdoor maintenance duties with some internal duties. This is a full time permanent position with salary and vacation. The right person for this position will have a strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and willingness to learn new tasks.

The role of cemetery support worker suits someone who can easily go between duties, work independently and as part of a team. The roles and responsibilities vary day by day. The main function of the position is to maintain the grounds of the cemetery and assist in driving between locations. Hours of work vary dependent on season but fall within 7am-5pm. Days of work will be 5 consecutive days, either Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday dependent on the needs of the applicant. Flexibility is available on shift start and end time.

Yates Memorial Services is an independent, family run funeral provider serving the Mid Island Region, Alberni Valley, and West Coast of Vancouver Island under the ownership and leadership of Rae and Barry Tuck.
