**Your Responsibilities**
- Responsible for conducting various geotechnical, hydrogeological and/or environmental field investigation projects including:

- Organize and carry out borehole layout, surveying and utility locates
- Coordination and supervision of borehole drilling and test pit excavation
- Logging of soil samples and rock cores on the field
- Soil and groundwater sampling
- Preparation of soil and groundwater samples for geotechnical and environmental laboratory analysis
- Conduct groundwater level measurement, well development, purging and groundwater sampling
- Field screening of soil samples for soil vapour levels
- Compile borehole logs using gINT and borehole plans using AutoCAD
- Conduct site visits for earthworks and excess soils projects for visual assessment/evaluation, assist with soil tracking, soil sampling and analysis

**The Skills, Knowledge, and Ability We Seek**
- Civil Engineering Technician/Environmental/Geological Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Natural Sciences (Earth Science, Environmental Science, or Engineering).
- Previous field experience in geotechnical, hydrogeological and environmental investigation projects a strong asset.
- Working knowledge with soil classification, principles of soil mechanics and groundwater properties an asset.
- A valid driver's G license and access to a vehicle are required, as this role will include field visits to various job sites.
- Ability to work independently on the field based on verbal or written project briefings provided. Strong note taking and organizational skills.
