Reporting to the Director of Quality, Safety and Risk, the **Manager, Clinical Practice** is a corporate leadership role dedicated to advancing nursing practice and clinical excellence across Brightshores Health System. This position is responsible for leading the organization’s model of care strategy, supporting nursing professional development, and driving nursing-specific practice changes that directly impact patient care quality, safety, and health human resource initiatives.

With direct oversight of the Nurse Clinicians, Wound Care, and the Policies and Procedures Coordinator, the Manager fosters a culture of accountability and evidence-informed practice. Collaborating closely with clinical leaders, interdisciplinary teams, and external partners, the Manager champions practice excellence, supports the implementation and evaluation of complex change processes, and strengthens structures that promote interprofessional collaboration and patient safety. As a key leader within the Quality, Safety and Risk portfolio, this role also serves as a trusted advisor on nursing practice across the organization.

**Skills/Abilities/Qualifications**

**Required**
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Master’s Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 5 years progressive clinical and leadership experience in an acute hospital setting (full time equivalent)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, drive change, mentor, and facilitate collaboration
- Expertise in the CNO Standards and Guidelines for Nursing in Ontario.
- Previous experience in managing large change initiatives is an asset
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in nursing, recognized role model for nursing professionalism
- Experience in teaching, professional development, e-learning and principles of adult education
- Familiarity with concepts of evaluation, evidence-informed practice and research required
- Highly motivated, self-directed with demonstrated ability to provide leadership within and across an interprofessional team in complex adaptive systems
- Demonstrated excellent presentation, project management and organizational skills required.
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, and interpersonal skills that will cultivate relationships amongst the multidisciplinary team
- Project management knowledge and experience
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning and evaluation skills.
- Proficient in using technology for educational purposes and data analysis
- Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
- Adherence to Brightshores ‘CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and ‘LEAD’ Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others) and a commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassment
