Our practice does not offer surgery on site; however we offer a variety of other unique services, all with an emphasis on long-term health and education.

**About you**:
As a smaller local clinic, we pride ourselves on the personalized care that we provide our clients, and our technicians play a vital role in this. We are looking for someone who is technically astute, who enjoys client interaction, and who fits in well with our team dynamic. Somebody who has a keen interest in integrative medicine with an eagerness to learn would be the perfect fit.

**Duties + Responsibilities**:

- Conduct appointments independently and with the veterinarian.
- Handle animals using a fear-free approach and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Develop recommendations and discuss product options with clients.
- Prepare and administer medications and vaccines.
- Care and triage hospitalized patients.
- Collect samples and perform diagnostic lab work.
- Make progress calls to follow up with clients regarding the health status of their pet.
- Conduct inventory control of narcotics and communicate stock requirements for the lab, exam, and treatment rooms.
- Manage the maintenance and sterilization of tools and laboratory equipment.
- Update patient files and tend to other administrative duties as necessary.

**Qualifications + Credentials**:

- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks an asset.
- Fear-free certification an asset.
- Background in animal nutrition an asset.
- RVT / VT

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Part-time

**Salary**: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
