**Position Overview**:
The Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fleet operations, including the acquisition, maintenance, compliance, and disposal of company vehicles. This role requires strategic planning, hands-on execution, and close coordination with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure the fleet is cost-effective, legally compliant, and consistently operational.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Fleet Operations & Administration**
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the entire company vehicle fleet, including cube vans, service vehicles, technician trucks and other company vehicles.
- Maintain an accurate vehicle inventory and ensure up-to-date records for all fleet assets.
- Track and report on vehicle usage, fuel consumption, mileage, and operational costs.
- Schedule and coordinate vehicle assignments to staff based on project and service requirements.
- Forecast for new vehicles as needed with company growth and new hires

**Maintenance & Repairs**
- Develop and manage a preventive maintenance schedule for all vehicles. Engage with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Respond to ad hoc maintenance issues and breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Liaise with internal teams and third-party service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective servicing and repairs.
- Maintain records of all maintenance activities and ensure documentation compliance.

**Vehicle Procurement & Disposal**
- Lead the end-to-end process of vehicle acquisition, including liaising with dealerships and brokers, evaluating vehicle options, and negotiating purchases or leases.
- Oversee the sale or disposal of decommissioned vehicles, ensuring maximum value is recovered.
- Make strategic recommendations to leadership on vehicle lifecycle, cost-efficiency, and replacements.

**Compliance & Safety**
- Ensure all fleet vehicles are roadworthy and comply with DVSA regulations, MOTs, insurance requirements, and licensing.
- Ensure all necessary CVOR certs are maintained and conduct any necessary changes or adjustments as an authorized third party with Service Ontario.
- Maintain and monitor vehicle insurance, registrations, and permits.
- Investigate vehicle incidents, accidents, or violations and implement corrective actions.

**Cost Control & Reporting**
- Monitor and manage fleet budgets, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency.
- Analyse fleet performance data and produce regular reports for management.
- Collaborate with finance to reconcile expenses, manage invoices, and forecast future fleet requirements.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Proven experience in fleet management or transport operations, ideally within a service-based or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, procurement, and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and industry best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid G license and clean driving abstract

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
