Windsurfing Instructor

Camp Hurontario, a boys' summer camp located on a beautiful island of the Georgian Bay, is looking to hire a windsurfing instructor to join us for the summer of 2026. Leave the city behind and spend the summer teaching your passion to boys aged 5-16 in groups no larger than eight at a time, always assisted by two experienced summer camp counsellors.

Being located on an island, Camp Hurontario is the ideal place both to teach and to learn windsurfing. Lessons begin on the shore, covering parts of the board, reading the wind, standing on the board, and operating the demo equipment, before the group paddles out into the sheltered bay to begin surfing. Stronger and/or more confident surfers are able to leave the bay and surf among the islands of our archipelago where the winds can provide some really thrilling surfing. Instructors teach from the vantage of motor boats, so experience operating these is a huge plus. In the past, our windsurfing instructors have also taken advantage of their free time to windsurf at their leisure using our adult sails.

Join our friendly co-ed staff of 110 to spend the summer making new friends and living with those who share your interest in working with children in a beautiful outdoor environment. Aside from your salary, full accommodation and all meals will be provided by the camp during the work term, which constitutes of June, July and August of 2026.
