Reporting directly to the Field Service Supervisor, the Journeyman Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting and overseeing repairs on a variety of Caterpillar equipment in the shop and field environments.

**Job Description**:
- Trouble shooting Caterpillar equipment and perform equipment repairs
- Interface with customers, products and sales support
- Working with the Supervisor on various tasks
- Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
- Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
- Various related duties as required
**Qualifications**:
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Heavy Duty Technician
- Completion, or in process of completing, Finning S-level courses
- WHMIS certification with previous Caterpillar repair experience
- Team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, computer literate, and safety orientated with the ability to work under mínimal supervision
- Leadership skills and ability to effectively interact with customers
- 5-year drivers abstract is required
Assets
- Experience in the Gas Compression Industry
- Working on Caterpillar gas engines and compressors
- Previous field service experience
Note:
- This position operates on a 5x2 schedule, based out of our Red Deer facility
- Out of town work occasionally required
- Shift work may be required
- Any future shift changes will be made in accordance with the collective agreement
- A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
