Markham, Canada Wee Watch Licensed Home Child Care Full time

We are looking for an experienced supervisor for a **Licensed** **Home Childcare Agency.**The role is accountable for the management and coaching of 50+ Home Child Care Providers, three Home Visitors (RECE) as well as the recruitment, screening, and oversight of potential home childcare providers. The Supervisor is accountable to ensure that all homes are meeting Ministry of Education and Wee Watch requirements to maintain our childcare License. Additionally, the Supervisor is responsible for resolving issues and serving as a link between our Providers, families, Home Visitors, administration staff and management.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that effectively comply with our agencies plans and vision.
- Organize workflow to ensure employees and Providers understand their duties or delegated tasks.
- Monitor productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Respond to complaints/resolve issues.
- Maintain personnel, Provider, and children records.
- Conduct regular meetings to communicate information to staff/Providers.
- Hire and train new employees.
- Ensure adherence to legal and agency policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if need arises.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in a Supervisory or Management position (minimum 5 years experience)
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing
- Standard First Aid Certification
- Venerable Sector Clearance
- Ability to travel locally
- Verification of medical suitability/records of immunizations
- Flexibility of work hours may be required outside of regular office hours

**Skills Needed**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills (coaching/mentoring)
- Analytical ability-proven experience in reading and preparing reports
- Human Resources experience (hiring, interviewing, training, coaching and performance reviews)
- Computer Fluency-expertise in use of MS Office, Outlook, Excel, Zoom/Teams
- Thorough knowledge provincial childcare regulations including all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Experience and knowledge of Home Childcare Licensing requirements is an asset

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

- Markham, ON L3R 9X7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
