Charter Mechanical is looking for a full time Sheet Metal Apprentice to join our energetic team. Charter Mechanical is a dynamic, growing company and this position will work in many aspects of the construction Industry. This successful applicant will learn in the construction and/or assembly of sheet metal products, installation, reading and interpreting of drawings to be followed in the construction of sheet metal products. **Responsibilities Include but are not limited to**
- Maneuver duct work into position for assembly
- install hangers for support duct
- Fasten seams or joints together with bolts or metal drive cleats
- Install fire dampers, grilles and dampers according to drawings
- Organize tools and materials as needed
- Assists the Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker on all tasks related to the trade
- Keep their working area clean and tidy, cleans the job site as necessary
- Listening and following instructions

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Must possess strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and work ethic
- The ability to work without supervision, detailed oriented
- Willingness to observe safety precautions and safety protocols
- Valid Drivers License and must be insurable
- Highly motivated and the willingness to perform work that you are proud to put your name to and in a timely manner
- Sheet Metal experience would be an asset - but not a must

**Education**
- Secondary School (preferred)

**Job Type**
- Full Time - Monday - Friday - 40 hours
