Assembly Technician

**Location**: Oro-Medonte, ON

**Pay**: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

- Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Perform service work on existing equipment including teardowns and rebuilding
- Assemble, fit, and install prefabricated parts to form sub-assemblies or finish products using hand and power tools
- Install, align, dismantle, and remove mechanical equipment on vehicles, such as pumps, hoses, compressors, engines, tanks, according to layout plans using hand and power tools
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions

**Job Requirements**:

- Completion of secondary school
- Industry courses in a mechanical trade (i.e. machinist, millwright, etc.)
- Own tools and safety gear required to perform job

**Skills and Experience**:

- 2 years of work experience in a mechanical trade (i.e. machinist, millwright) or assembly position
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Ability to operate various power tools to assemble, cut, sand components
- Keen attention to detail and tidiness
- Examine finished product to ensure it meets quality standards and is aesthetically correct

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Oro-Medonte, ON L0L 1T0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Mechanical Trade or Assembly: 2 years (preferred)
