**Residential Care Worker (Casual) - Richmond, BC Starting wage $25.95-$26.83 per hour (plus 10.6% in lieu of vacation and stats)**

This role supports individuals with developmental disabilities who live in our supported living homes to contribute and participate fully in their community.

**YOUR IMPACT**:

- Provide direct support for individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve goals based on their own preferences, beliefs and desires.
- Establish respectful relationships which promote dignity and empower individuals to make informed decisions.
- Encourage individuals to communicate their needs and build connections; to live self determined lives in the community surrounded by friends and family.
- Work as part of a team to assist individuals to identify and achieve personal goals; providing input and progress reports as needed.
- Perform personal care as required.

**YOUR CAPABILITIES**:

- Relevant post-secondary education in related field and at least six months experience supporting people with developmental disabilities in a similar environment.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Clear, current Criminal Records Check.
- Valid BC Driver’s License, Class 4 Preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of an organization.
- Reliable problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
- Able to work flexible hours, based on support needs _**(Please note that hours include shifts which will consist of both weekday afternoons and weekends.)**_
