Reporting to the Lead, Semiconductor Process Engineering, the Semiconductor Process Technician is responsible for, but not limited to, executing semiconductor processing according to SOPs, and conducting cleaning and maintenance of semiconductor process tools. The position is full-time and onsite.

**RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION**:
**The primary duties and responsibilities are as follows. Other duties may be assigned**:

- Conduct substrate surface preparation using plasma cleaning (reactive ion etching) and chemical solution processing according to established SOP.
- Conduct inspection and documentation at each stage of the fabrication process according to SOP.
- Perform thin/thick film deposition according to established SOP.
- Perform wire bonding according to established SOP.
- Conduct and document electrical testing of assembled x-ray detector modules.
- Execute the upkeep and the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of process tools in a semiconductor cleanroom, including but not limited to thermal evaporators, metal sputtering tools, wire bonders, and encapsulation tools.
- Document equipment status and maintenance, including routine inspections and repairs.
- Maintain a safe work area; comply with safety policies and procedures and equipment operating rules; keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Monitor inventory levels of process chemicals and orders replenishment quantities.
- Chemical disposal following cleanroom protocols.
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule to meet production demands on a tight deadline.
- Actively participate in team meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience with semiconductor processing is helpful but not required as the requisite training will be provided.
- Proficiency in the operation, calibration, and maintenance of machines, tools, and other equipment.
- Skillful with handling delicate components and materials.
- Analytical ability and problem-solving skills to recognize deficiencies and abnormalities and to recommend the appropriate corrective actions.
- A well-organized approach to problem solving, good record keeping skills as well as the ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Ability to work in a team within a fast-paced environment and tight deadlines.

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
