**Overview**:
As a Data Analyst in Western Canada, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders in the multiple market across all business lines. Leveraging your passion for data, technology and real estate, you will capture, review and enhance transactional real estate data.
**Responsibilities**:
This role which will require data entry & broader data importing, data analysis/management, and strong researching skills and will include the following regular tasks:
- Reviewing core real estate data and importing it to the technology platform including properties, images, documents, leases, sales and ensuring accuracy & consistency.
- Engage with local resources to capture and enhance transactional real estate data
- Researching local cities, businesses, economic, demographic and real estate market activity and consolidating it into concise reports.
- Meeting/speaking with both internal and external stakeholders around market activities
- Adding/updating data on internal technology platforms utilizing publications, public filings, public records and third-party data providers
- Searching and pulling data from public records around ownership, sales, debt, permits, zoning and tax assessments.
- Adding/maintaining data from internal systems and processes by reaching out to industry insiders to track down missing data points.
**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this role, an individual must be able to perform each essential task at an above average level. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Post-secondary education and/or pursuing post-secondary education is considered an asset
- 1+ year experience in commercial real estate or real estate course work preferred
- Passionate about data, technology and real estate
- Dedicated to data as an art and science
- Sound knowledge of provincial geography and economic landscape
- Possess characteristic traits of independent thinking, self-starting initiative while working well in a team-oriented environment
- Must be able to handle flexibility in task management while having a keen eye for detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely is essential
- Ability to multi-task, utilize effective time management skills, and be able to recognize and respond to time sensitive issues and tasks
