**Position: Maintenance Technician**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Location**:Markham

**Responsibilities**
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance according to standards and schedules.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and system problems based on test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from machine operators.
- Repair and maintain the operating condition of production equipment to ensure the production efficiency.
- Collect repair and maintenance data performed and ensure proper follow-up actions are taken and documented.
- Continuously learn and improve technical skills to remain current on equipment installation and operations, including the set-up and programming processes.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications.
- Provide operation demonstrations on production equipment for new machine operators.
- Communicate the various safety, control, and operating features in a clear and concise manner.
- Communicate potential mechanical hazards on equipment to team lead.
- Ensure safe work practices and processes.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**
- Post Secondary Education
- College or University program in electro-mechanical and/or automation field preferred
- Experience operating automated machines, working on machines and troubleshooting mechanical/ electrical/ technical issues
- Able to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical and configuration issues and repair / correct the issues with mínimal supervision
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
- Willing to learn new skills
- Proficiency with hand-tools
- Experience with ultrasonic welding an asset

**Working Conditions**:

- Masks are produced in an industrial clean room
- Must wear full PPE (hair cover, mask, gown, gloves, shoe covers, etc.) when inside clean room.
- It can be quite loud in the cleanroom (hearing protection is provided).
- Standing for long periods of time
- Bending, reaching, carrying etc.
- Lifting up to 50lbs
- Warehouse Environment
