**Job Description**:
**How You'll Make an Impact**:

- Support our Ontario locations
- Responsible for ongoing development, deployment and maintenance of the Sodexo Occupational Safety Management System (OHSMS) and Food Safety System (HACCP).
- Facilitate the implementation of the OHSMS and Food Safety System throughout the region, working with Operations to ensure ongoing improvement of business processes.
- Ensure the organization is provided with relevant information, tools and resources as part of the OHSMS and Food Safety System.
- Build and foster professional and customer focused relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence, identify and develop process improvement that will support the business.
- Assist with business in eastern regions of Canada as requested by the Sr. Health and Safety Manager and Director of Safety Canada.
- Promote and provide proactive guidance & knowledge regarding HSE awareness, best practice & initiatives.
- Lead and/or participate in HSE regional/global and/or cross-functional programs, projects, initiatives & campaigns.
- Support unit openings, mobilizations and transitions.
- Participate and support Segment Safety Council.
- Review quality of incident investigation reports, to ensure root cause determination and corrective completion, accountability and management ownership to drive effective change plus mitigation of risk.
- Review quality of operational safety documentation.
- Initiate and conduct trends analysis, provide findings, solutions, coaching and communicate shared learnings.
- Produce reports and recommendations based on field/remote site support.
- Foster a Health & Safety culture through daily operational support, including but not limited to program/project development, deployment, communication, training, field/remote support & coaching.
- Travel required across units in QC and Ontario. Currently limited due to Pandemic travel restrictions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
**What You'll Need to Succeed**:

- Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
- Degree/Diploma in HSE or related field preferred, Safety certification(s) will be considered
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with coordinating and/or managing a safety program for a medium to large employer
- Thorough knowledge of Ontario Health and Safety Regulations and legislation.
- Proven ability to lead, develop and engage with senior leaders.
- Strong written, verbal & presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and takes initiative
- Strong proven problem solving, analytical and reporting skills.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage multi-task effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft software packages and database systems.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to an automobile for business
