**Position Overview**: We are currently seeking a highly motivated, career orientated individual to work out of our Kitchener facility as a Technician, repairing and installing Overhead Doors, Loading Docks, Access Control Systems and more

**Responsibilities**:

- Including but not limited to operating equipment, tools, trailers, and pickup trucks
- Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment following specifications from the original equipment manufacturer
- Actively participate in safety/toolbox meetings
- Follow safe work and good housekeeping practices
- Completion of all forms and paperwork in a timely and appropriate fashion
- Understand and comply with company policies/procedures, health and safety policies/procedures and regulations
- Maintain adequate levels of stock of required parts on your truck (identify and report when quantities are low and you require re-ordering
- Lead Junior Technicians
- Constantly improve on product knowledge to better service our Customer

**Skills/Experience**:

- 2 or more years of experience in the Dock & Door industry is an asset
- SMAW (Stick) welding experience is a must
- Sound mechanical knowledge is a must
- Sound electrical knowledge is a must
- Valid “G” driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
- Mechanically inclined with a knowledge of hand and power tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong commitment to safety

**Working Conditions**:

- Required to work in all weather conditions
- Physically fit and capable of lifting 60lbs repeatedly
- Comfortable working at heights up to 50 feet, and climbing ladders up to 20 feet
- Work “on call” as required

**Health and Safety**: Safety is critical in all Wellington Dock & Door’s operations and this position plays a key role in our continued success as a leader in safety behavior and communication. All employees are expected to:

- Complete safety training as assigned and required
- Have a knowledge of safe work practices and procedures
- Act in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation & Practices
- Act in accordance with company safety policies/procedures and practices

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

- Class G Driver's Licence (preferred)
