Carpenter’s Helper

Hawkona is a contracting company based out of Uxbridge, Ontario specializing in large scale home renovations and additions. We're a fun team that is serious about providing quality products for our customers, and are looking for equally dedicated people to join our team.

We're a small company and this job offers a huge opportunity to work directly with lead carpenters to learn home renovation techniques across a range of projects from beginning to end such as kitchen renovations, bathrooms, additions, and new builds.

**JOB PERKS**
- Start your weekend early Summer work hours: 7am to 5pm. On a typical week in the summer we try to work half day Fridays whenever possible. If we end up having to work the full day on Friday, you'll be getting overtime.
- Tool allowance after one year (amount varies based on experience and job position).
- Health benefits allowance after one year (amount varies based on job position).

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

Working directly with lead carpenter.

Material handling and site cleanup.

Assisting with rough framing.

Interior demolition of kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, etc.

**REQUIREMENTS**

Experience / existing skill is an asset. Pay will be determined based on experience.

Entry level applicants welcome. Lots of opportunity to learn

Basic Carpentry Knowledge.

Experience with the following is an asset: framing, demo, insulation, drywall, trim, cabinet installation.

Relevant College Education an Asset

Own Vehicle & Valid Driver's Licence

Criminal Record Check

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
