**Job summary**
The incumbent sees to the proper functioning of deliveries and the material to be delivered. The dispatcher makes sure to take charge of the entire delivery process. They must ensure that all deliveries are made error-free, on time, efficiently and in the most cost-effective manner possible. They must collaborate to maximize delivery procedures and follow up on issues related to this service. They must also ensure compliance with standards and procedures related to health and safety at work.
**Main Responsibilities**
Manage The Distribution of Deliveries.
- Ensure a healthy operation of deliveries.
- Maximize deliveries considering volume, mileage and time aspects.
- Manage and monitor delivery documents (pickup, delivery slip, invoice).
Manage Prepared Orders.
- Ensure that the prepared order is complete and identified.
- Ensure that trucks are loaded on time and in the desired order.
- Make sure deliverers have everything they need to make deliveries (BL, invoice, card machine, notice).
- Manage the delivery errors table.
Manage Customer Service.
- Manage customer complaints concerning the delivered products.
- Call to customers to validate deliveries.
- Notify customers of any delay related to their delivery.
- Ensure contact with sales advisors for truck availability.
Manage Inventory.
- Validate credits from deliveries.
- Notify the foreman of any imbalance in the inventory.
- Follow up on inter-warehouse transfers of yard equipment.
- Manage vehicle maintenance.
- Plan lubrication, maintenance, preventive inspections and annual inspections.
- Keep the maintenance table up to date.
**Required Skills and Qualifications Profile**
**Training/Experience/Certification**
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Have experience in planning and coordinating deliveries.
**Knowledge**
- Have good knowledge of construction materials.
- Have good command of the French language, both orally and written, English (an asset).
- Have a forklift operator’s licence.
- Have basic knowledge of truck mechanics.
- Know the SAAQ load and stowage rules.
**Required Skills and Aptitudes**
- Be in excellent physical shape.
- Be a good communicator and motivator.
- Have a good speed of execution.
- Be able to work under pressure.
