Experienced Concrete Finisher

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking skilled Concrete Finishers to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will play a vital role in the successful completion of various concrete projects, including sidewalks, curbs, and various types of flat work. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while working alongside skilled professionals in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Surface Preparation**: Prepare concrete surfaces for finishing by leveling, smoothing, and removing imperfections.
- **Finishing Techniques**: Employ various finishing techniques, including troweling, edging, floating, and broom finishing, to achieve the desired finish texture and appearance.
- **Formwork**: Set up, align, and dismantle formwork for concrete pours.
- **Reinforcement**: Properly place and secure reinforcing materials, such as rebar, wire mesh, and fibers.
- **Quality Control**: Inspect finished surfaces for defects, ensuring they meet project specifications and quality standards.
- **Safety**: Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- **Collaboration**: Work effectively with other team members, including foreman, equipment operators, and project managers, to achieve project goals.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher in the heavy civil construction industry.
- Valid Ontario “G” driver’s license required
- Thorough knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to following safety procedures and guidelines.

**Compensation & Benefits**:

- $35.09 - $37.71 per hour (under review) based on experience and qualifications plus 10% vacation pay.

Pay: $35.09-$37.71 per hour

Expected hours: 50 - 55 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- St. George, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
