Library Assistant

Cataloguing/documentation of library materials according to client procedures using Dewey decimal classification System (DDC) and cutter numbers.
- Preparation of materials to be sent for digitization; packing, tracking, and disposal of materials
- Dismantling of physical assets
- Familiarity with a library and or a records management physical file room
- Should have proficient written, verbal communication skills, be well organized, can work independently with limited supervision.
- Will be required to lift boxes up to 20 lbs.

**Requirements**:

- Library technician diploma from Grant MacEwan University or equivalent, or records management training/experience
- experience using Dewey decimal classification system (DDC) and prior experience working with Lucidea(Inmagic) DBTextworks or similar database
- Familiarity with Dublin core metadata element set

This is a temporary position for approximately 4-8 months. Schedule is Monday - Friday, 8 hrs/day.
