The residence Carrefour Autonomie P.A.L. (C.A.P.) can accommodate 4 persons for a stay of approximately one year The building also has 4 apartments shared by 8 co-tenants (long term). Two housing workers (working day shifts, on week days) share the responsibilities related to the residence.

**Requirements**:

- Bilingual.
- Respect for an alternative philosophy, a self-help approach and members’ right to self-determination.
- Friendly, democratic, flexible, reliable and organized.
- Ability to work autonomously and with a team (employees and members).
- Pertinent experience working in an alternative mental health resource and/or a group home setting.
- Experience and aptitude with crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
- Basic cooking knowledge.

**Tasks**

❖ Assure individual follow-ups (residents and tenants) based on individual autonomy and objectives.

❖ Employ Projet PAL’s Solution Focused approach in follow ups.

❖ Assist in the Animal Therapy program in follow ups with the residents.

❖ Oversee the daily functioning of the House (weekly residents’ meetings, housework chores, i.e. meals, cleaning, etc.)

❖ Work in collaboration with resident’s treatment teams and community support workers to improve residents autonomy and community integration.

❖ Oversee the administration of 5 apartments building (repairs, rents. etc.)

❖ Oversee the administration of the Transition House (bank deposits, purchase of supplies, statistics, clerical and receptionist tasks, etc.)

❖ Participate in different internal meetings (weekly team meetings, housing and ad hoc committees)

❖ Collaboration with Housing advocacy organizations as mandated by the Board of Directors and Direction of Projet P.A.L.

❖ Animation in Projet P.A.L’s drop-in center as needed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
