**Driver - Youth Programming**

Tunngasugit Inc. is committed to promoting and enhancing the quality of life for Inuit in Winnipeg and surrounding areas through the provision of culturally sensitive programs and services, in English and Inuktitut, and to orient Inuit to southern culture and environment.

**Reports to**: Operation Manager

Reporting to the Operation Manager, the Driver will be responsible for driving families with children to appointments or to the centre to access programs & services.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Picking up supplies.
- Loading and unloading goods.
- Driving Inuit families to appointments, youth programs, drop-ins, workshops, language nest, etc.
- Maintaining vehicle (gas, oil changes, cleanliness, etc.)
- Keeping driving records (mileage, gas, routes, etc.)
- Assist with the maintenance of the building such as taking the garbage, washroom cleaning, window washing ,snow shovelling and power washing the parking lot, front and back of the building.
- Maintain good driving and safety skills. Following speed limits and obeying road signs. Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12 Diploma.
- Must reside in Winnipeg.
- Ability to speak Inuktitut and English is an asset.
- Have a full class 5 driver’s license.
- Clean drivers's abstract.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Knowledgeable of Inuit culture, language and willingness to learn.
- Clear adult abuse registry, child abuse registry and criminal record checks.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work effectively independently and as a member of teams.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends.
- Must be available to work at Tunngasugit monthly community gatherings.
