We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientated **General Superintendent **to join our team.

As a **General Superintendent **and a member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the oversight and coordination of all construction projects and resources from their initial mobilization through to completion.

**Safety**
- Overall responsibility, oversight and for the site safety of all projects

*Project Oversight
*
- Manage the oversight of all projects by guiding the successful planning, management, and completion of multiple projects on time, and on budget through strong collaboration and communication
- Ensure collaboration with Project Managers, staff, consultants, sub-contractors, and clients to establish and run the scope of work, project budgets, labour, and schedules to ensure that all milestone and completion dates are met
- Manage and coordinate all job schedules and allocates resources
- Oversight of construction and trade contracts
- Provide oversight to source, organize, and manage construction supplies
- Provide oversight for the communications with municipal building inspectors
- Other duties, as required

*Communication & Documentation
*
- Lead all communication and updates between the site and the office
- Ensure all documentation required to meet the requirements of construction and trade contracts
- Ensure all necessary building, trade and occupancy permits are obtained
- Ensure all close-out documents and tasks are completed

*Reporting
*
- Meet weekly, and as needed, with the VP of Operations to report on project progress, successes, and challenges

*Lead And Mentor
*
- Lead by example and mentor team members to excel both personally and professionally
- Provide regular and ongoing performance feedback and guidance

**Required Experience & Skills**
- 15+ years of site management experience in commercial, institutional, and civil construction
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to positively motivate others
- General knowledge and familiarity with standard construction contracts and contractual terms and practices
- Strong working knowledge with MS Project, Office, and construction management, accounting and estimating software
- Proven experience successfully collaborating with and managing consultants, sub-trades & in-house staff to meet their objectives
- Technically strong with the ability to analyze project, architectural, structural, mechanical & electrical plans, specifications, and permits
- Access to a vehicle and a valid BC driver’s license to drive to project sites throughout the lower mainland
