**Team Overview**:
The Medium & Investments Analytics (M&IA) team supports private capital teams in Reporting & Analytics, Strategic Planning, Portfolio Management & Exits, Governance, Data & Workflow Management, and Valuation. This role will require knowledge of private equity and private debt asset classes, complex financial models, forecasting, financial statements, and reports. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with other EDC business units to achieve our overall business objectives.

**Responsibilities**:
**Portfolio Analytics**:

- Develop and use financial models for reporting, valuation, risk assessment, and cash flow projections.
- Manage Investments portfolio: performance monitoring, risk and performance analytics, forecasting, and reconciliation.
- Build and present reports, dashboards, and analytics for stakeholders & senior leadership.
- Leverage 3rd-party data for enhanced analytics and forecasting.

**Portfolio Operations**:

- Oversee valuations, exit opportunities, and value-add activities.
- Lead and ensure data integrity within CRM and portfolio management systems.
- Contribute to program governance through process improvement, operational guides, frameworks, and risk management.
- Liaise with Technology, Finance, and Corporate Reporting Teams.
- Lead special projects to enhance governance, systems, and operations.

**Lead Analyst Level 18 - Additional Responsibilities**:

- Lead investment valuation and private credit reviews.
- Oversee analytics initiatives, including advanced models, dashboards and data solutions.
- Lead program governance with portfolio monitoring, advanced analytics, and forecasts.
- Manage material portfolio events: waivers, amendments, and divestments.

**Screening Criteria**:

- **Education**: Undergraduate degree in Economics or Business Administration (Finance or Accounting concentration).
- **Experience**: 2-5 years (Level 16), 5-7 years (Level 17), or 7+ years (Level 18) of professional work experience.
- **Skills**: Excellent analytics, financial modeling, communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VBA, data management and validation).
- Ability to maintain and improve systems, data, and reporting infrastructure.
- Strong collaboration, teamwork, business analysis, project management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate in a high-performing culture.

**Assets**:

- Experience with data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau, Google Charts).
- Experience with data ETL automation (Power Query, Power Automate, VBA, SQL).
- Experience with financial data tools (Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, Preqin).
- Bilingualism (English and French).

**Compensation Details**:

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from:

- Bus. Intel & Analytics 16: $71, 063 to $94,752 annually, plus a performance-based incentive
- Bus. Intel & Analytics 17: $81,012 - $108,017 annually, plus a performance-based incentive
- Bus. Intel & Analytics 18: $92,355 - $123,140 annually, plus a performance-based incentive

- Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment.
- This role may be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa, or from the Community Hub in Toronto or Montreal
