**The role **
At Soho House the **Membership Manager **is responsible for directly supervising and organizing the meetings, processes and initiatives required to generate, maintain and grow the Clubs carefully chosen membership base. Being the face of the club for members, on hand for their feedback and thoughts, as well as a custodian presiding over access to the club, preserving club rules and conduct. Personally, driving and maintaining the productivity of the membership committee and taking an active role in members' events and benefits. Oversees membership department and staff, supports Membership Director. Supports management team as needed.
**Main Duties **
- Play a central role, with guidance from the Head of Membership & Communications for Toronto in the growth, maintenance and management of a diverse membership base spread across all the major creative industries, made up of both men and women, of different ages/experience levels and from different parts of the city and beyond.
- Maintain a constant presence in the club, being the 'face' of the house to members. Ensure you meet all new members where possible, explaining your role and allowing them to contact you if they choose.
- Engage in the local creative and club scenes, events, parties, launches and social settings, developing contacts, networking and building awareness about the club, its facilities, your role, and how new contacts might join.
- When appropriate, facilitate access to the club for visiting high profile celebrities and personalities (as well as a limited number of guests), ensuring they receive good service and enjoy their time as our guests.
- Lead or oversee all new member introductions to Soho House Toronto to ensure understanding of benefits, offerings & Soho Works culture
- Personally, driving and maintaining the productivity of the membership committee and taking an active role in members' events and benefits.
- Works in conjunction with the local membership team as well as the NA and global teams as needed on membership related initiatives. Supports management team as needed.
- Monitor & document any member/user resignations via personal contact
- Gather feedback about Soho House Toronto developments, quality of service, facilities and member perceptions
- Continually educate and collaborate with Soho House Toronto management & staff about member interaction best practices & our overall creative aims
- Work in tandem with the Events Manager to conceptualize and run select events for members
- Track engagement, gather feedback, analyze and optimize the site's monthly events schedule
- Execute the local social media strategy, to drive awareness of your local House, and driving membership acquisition on a local level working closely with the global team. This includes posting, copywriting, content creation and community management
- Work with local members, teams and content creators to create high quality, on brand content, ensuring the channel is localized, consistent and a clear representation of the House
- Oversee a local content calendar, ensuring content delivers a positive brand experience, engages our audience and encourages acquisition
**Requirements**:
- 4+ years' relative experience with a proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high quality, service-oriented operation.
- 2+ years Management experience.
- A long-term city resident with extensive knowledge of the local area. Knowledge of local politics and has a personal network of contacts in different industries including but limited to; film, television, music, media and culinary, etc.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays as well as the ability to travel and attend various social functions in the
- Strong organizational and management abilities
- Daily use of the Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce and other systems
- Adaptable in various situations
- Professional manner and attitude
- Friendly and approachable
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals. Able to set priorities, plan, organize, delegate, and control.
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
