The Elder’s Program Manager plays a central leadership role in ensuring culturally safe, equitable, and empowering services for over 1,000 Elders across the Nation.

This position requires a skilled and compassionate leader who thrives on building respectful relationships, advocating for Elder well-being, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Your work will directly support the development and expansion of the Elder’s Program, guided by Squamish values, culture, and language.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Lead daily operations of the Elder’s Program, ensuring culturally safe, inclusive, and equitable services across North Shore, Squamish Valley, and Away-from-Home Elders.
- Supervise and support the Elder’s Program Administrative Officer, Team Leads, and staff, fostering teamwork and collaboration across sites.
- Collaborate with the Director of Member Services and the Manager and Director of Squamish Valley Operations to implement the Elder’s Program Annual Workplan and support the Elder’s Program Plan.
- Manage and monitor Elder’s Program budgets, ensuring equitable allocation and responsible use of resources.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and adherence to the Elder’s Program Snew̓íyelh (Respectful Relationships Code).
- Advocate for Elder needs internally and with external partners, ensuring trauma-informed and culturally safe care.
- Build strong relationships with Elders by attending luncheons, activities, and events, ensuring the program reflects community needs and priorities.
- Support fundraising, grant development, and reporting to sustain and expand Elder’s Program services.
- Guide policy development, evaluation, and continuous program improvement.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Counselling, Gerontology, Public Health, Education, or related discipline.
- Training in conflict resolution and/or mediation.
- Indigenous Cultural Safety training (recent or willingness to complete).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in program management, advocacy, or senior-level administration, ideally supporting Elders or vulnerable populations.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to supervise and support diverse teams.
- Proven experience in budgeting, reporting, fundraising, and policy development.
- Excellent communication, diplomacy, and conflict resolution skills.
- Deep understanding of colonization and Residential School impacts, with a commitment to cultural humility and trauma-informed practice.
- Knowledge of Squamish Nation governance, protocols, and community values an asset.
- Cultural humility and respect for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values, sovereignty, and self-determination.

**Salary**: $75,000 - $112,500
