Southbrook Retirement Residence is hiring **Causal** Dietary Aides.

Dietary Aides are responsible for serving meals to residents and ensuring work areas are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Serving resident meals and snacks in accordance with dietary requirements and resident preferences
- Maintaining a sanitary and clean work environment, following cleaning schedules and being familiar with infection control measures, completing daily and deep cleaning and sanitizing of equipment used for meal service
- Ensuring safe handling of food as per regulatory requirements
- ensuring that good personal hygiene, with a clean and neat appearance is practiced along with following dress code for the department
- Current Food Handlers Safety Awareness Certificate
- Previous restaurant Server and/or Retirement Residence Server would be an asset
- Previous professional experience in a health care setting an asset
- Knowledge of sanitation, hygiene, food production, and food safety
- Enjoys working in a “Seniors Living” environment
- Reliable and able to work with others in a team environment
- Time management skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Good communication skills
- Able to work all shifts including weekends, mornings, evenings and holidays

Must obtain Police Check including Vulnerable Sector Screen*
**Must have TB screening 2 step or willing**
**Must be willing to have the annual influenza vaccine**

**Must be fully vaccinated able and willing to work during COVID-19 Pandemic**
