Bg - Underground Miner

Kiewit is hiring **Underground Miners** for **Coquitlam-Buntzen Tunnel Gates Refurbishment Project**.

In this role, miners will be responsible for installing underground rock support (bolts and mesh), performing underground construction such as installing mine services, and operating various pieces of underground mining equipment.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum **3 - 5 years** experience in an **underground environment**:

- Experienced in installation of ground support using a jackleg & stopper
- Application of shotcrete to walls and ceiling of the tunnel
- Shotcrete/concrete/construction experience is preferred
- Slinging/rigging experience is an asset
- A current Worksafe BC underground blasting license is preferred.

**Shift**
- 14/7
- Approximately 60 hours/week
- Additional overtime may be required
- Must be willing to work weekends when required

**Project Information**

Coquitlam-Buntzen Tunnel Gates Project will comprise the replacement of the water control gates and refurbishment of the existing tunnel structure. Work includes demolition and replacement of at-grade and underground concrete elements, replacement of existing gates and controls, and ground support and shotcrete of the existing tunnel structure.
