**Powerline Technician**
Kapush Energy is an electrical/powerline contractor located in the Thunder Bay area.
We focus on construction services in overhead and underground distribution systems.

Position Summary:
Under guidance of a Line Supervisor, you will be responsible for work assigned to assist with constructing, operating, and maintaining overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.

Qualifications:

- Red Seal Certification or Ontario Powerline Certification (or working towards obtaining such)
- Minimum Grade 12 Secondary School Graduation Diploma
- Some experience working on distribution systems
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License with an excellent driving record
- Valid Class ‘AZ’ drivers licence would be an asset
- Working at Heights Certification would be an asset
- Standard First Aid (CPR/AED) would be an asset
- UWPC would be an asset

Preferred:

- Experience in the construction/electrical industry and the demonstrated ability to work at heights
- Graduate of post-secondary electrical technician or technologist program or graduate of a post-secondary two year powerline program
- Positive attitude and good work ethic
- Good comprehension and communication skills
- Good teamwork/collaboration skills
- Responsible decision-making

Conditions:

- Physically capable to meet the physical and work environment demands
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Ability to work at heights of up to 70 feet in an aerial device and/or on a pole
- Available to work overtime, and in surrounding areas of Thunder Bay
- Commitment to safety in the workplace
- Will follow all Kapush Energy SWP and procedures, work protection codes, and occupational health and safety legislation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
