**Canada Summer Job Grant Criteria**:

- Must be between 15-30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (note: international students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents)
- Must be legally entitled to work according to all relevant provincial legislation and regulations

**Education/Certifications/Credentials/Professional Registration**
- Current Level C CPR and Standard First Aid
- Class 5 drivers license with the ability to obtain $2 million dollars liability insurance

**Knowledge & Skills**
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to act professionally in all situations, representing the YMCA according to its core values
- Experience with facility maintenance, including HVAC and basic plumbing
- Excellent customer services, organization, and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work evening and weekend shifts as needed
- Evidence of a clear Police Record Search (with Vulnerable Sector Check only if working with children), within the last six months
- Cover letter and resume

**What does this role look like at YMCA Medicine Hat?**
- This position is responsible for ensuring that all YMCA facilities are clean and well maintained.
- This position is required to maintain all SAM 2.1 standards.
